Hello from the beautiful city of Pensacola, Fl. Wow. Any of you who know me at all know that I am not a big “beach” person, but this is truly one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. I will update more on the serious side later, but here is the breakdown:
- We got here safe
-Trav has a job at the Pensacola Blockbuster
-We found a rental house and are in the middle of trying to sort through the madness of unpacking
-I am still looking for a job but I know God has the perfect one already set aside for me so I am not worried
-God has been continuously blowing our minds with his amazing blessings. I don’t have time to list them all individually, but all I can say is that one day before we were supposed to leave, we had about $200 dollars to our name. Now, we rented our truck for 6 days, we are staying in a beautiful resort for the week, we have put down a deposit and paid our first months rent and pet deposit, we have eaten out a few times, and we are entirely rested and at peace. God is amazing.
Now, to explain my blogs title. I would just like to say that the main thing I like about beaches is walking around looking for shells, sand dollars, and any little animals I might be able to sneak home. So we have been staying in Destin, which is about an hour from Pensacola, and we are right on the ocean. So… I went down this morning looking for shells and you know what I came up with….. a dead fish, 2 bones from a pretty large unknown animal, and a lime slice. Well… I finally found 4 tiny little shells on my way back up to the room, but still. I thought there would be plenty. Apparently I need to go to Pensacola Beach to find those items. Who knew?
Ok, now for my last order of business for the night. I would like you to meet Pete.

When I was in college, my roommate and I wanted to get a pet, so when easter time came around, we went to our local feedstore, weighed our options, and brought home a rabbit to our dorm. We wanted a chick, but that would be way more trouble to hide in a dorm that didn’t allow pets at all. So instead, we settled for Pete. Our feathery little friend has been through a lot between my roommate and I. We kind of have been switching him back and forth for a few years. Now he is in Florida, and I will periodically be making a Pete post to show what he is up to. I just thought it sounded like fun. Well, here was his first adventure with us.

Pete felt very small, so I told him I would try and make him look bigger when I took his picture. Look out for PETEZILLA!! He has come to stomp on and destroy your moving trucks!!
Ok, that is enough updating for now, I don’t want you to get spoiled. We don’t really have internet access so posts could be sporatic for a while.
